The St. Kitts Amateur Basketball Association is trying to maintain their momentum from the relatively successful 2011 season with an early start to this year’s 2012 season.

The season has been fairly competitive throughout the conferences. Several high school infrastructures were deemed unfit to host games and therefore but a little strain on the few that were allowed to host games. This also defeated the objective of spreading the game within the schools.

It is indeed a pleasure to welcome you to the first edition of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) Digital Magazine, entitled REBOUND. This inaugural edition covers the activities, from beginning to end, of the XXI CBC Senior Men Championship and the XX Senior Women Championship.

The Jamaica Basketball Association (JaBA) yesterday received a three-year $35-million sponsorship boost from Kentucky Fried Chicken. The food chain giant, whose local parent company is Restaurants of Jamaica, will sponsor JaBA's newest development programme dubbed 'Quest', which is geared towards identifying and managing young basketball talents throughout the country. The sponsorship represents the largest-ever sporting sponsorship initiative by KFC in Jamaica.

The national junior and senior women’s teams are expected to compete at the Annual Gillian Brazier Basketball Shootout scheduled for March 11-18 in Antigua. Guyana participated in the competition in 2007 and was runner-up to champions, Antigua.
