Puerto Rico goes for another Gold medal
After winning their first Gold medal in the 2010 Centrobasket Championship for Women played in Mayagüez, now the Puerto Rican women's team will go for their first Gold medal in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games after beating Jamaica 63-44 in the semifinals. The game was close from the start, where Jamaica dominated inside and played some great defense in the first three quarters. ....

Puerto Rico selects their twelve players for the CAC Games
The Puerto Rican men's national team selected their twelve players for the Central American and Caribbean Games. Men's basketball will be played in San German, Quebradillas and Mayaguez. The twelve finalists are: Carlos Arroyo, Jose Juan Barea, Filiberto Rivera, Christian Dalmau, David Cortes, Angel Daniel Vassallo, Carmelo Lee, Nathan Peavy, Ricky Sanchez, Renaldo Balkman, Manuel Narvaez and Daniel Santiago. A total of seven players were part of the team that won gold in the 2010 Centrobasket Championship for Men held in the Dominican Republic. ...

Puerto Rico makes their debut against Mexico in men's basketball at the CAC Games
After Trinidad & Tobago announced that they won't participate in men's basketball for the 2010 CAC Games, some changes were done to the tournament schedule. Now there are seven teams divided into two groups. Group A has Jamaica, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Group B has British Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Panama and US Virgin Islands.

Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico continue undefeated in women's basketball
The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico stayed undefeated in women's basketball at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. The Dominicans defeated México 70-65 as Carmen Guzman netted 33 points and Yohanna Morton added 10. The Dominican Republic has a 2-0 record. Puerto Rico has a 3-0 record as they crushed Trinidad & Tobago 84-82 with 15 points from Angiely Morales....

Mexico, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico win on day 2
Mexico, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico women's basketball teams won on day 2 of the Central American and Caribbean Games. The Mexicans made their debut by beating Guatemala 85-65 as Brisa Silva led the way with 31 points, including five three pointers. In the loss Alma Lopez netted 21 points.
