SVG I Bequia Tournament opens this Saturday 10th
The Twelfth Annual Bequia Basketball Tournament is on schedule to bounce off this Saturday July 10th at 5:30 pm at the Clive Tannis Hard Court in Bequia. Twelve teams in three divisions will March past in the Parade of Teams, one of which will be chosen Best Dressed. Following the Opening Ceremony, and some brief addresses, two games are fixtured: Second Division Young Duke vs. Young Blazers at 7pm, followed by an exhibition game between the Bequia All-Stars ....read more
Dominican Republic gets their second win in Centrobasket

The depth of the Dominican Republic paid dividends once again as they defeated Jamaica 68-62 to close day 2 of the Centrobasket Championship. Charlie Villanueva netted 13 points while Manuel Fortuna, Kelvin Peña and Jack Michael Martínez had 10 each for the Dominicans. Martinez also grabbed 13 rebounds where 5 of them were offensive.

Panama wins their first game in the 2010 Centrobasket Championship over British Virgin Islands

SANTO DOMINGO (2010 Centrobasket Championship) - José Lloreda netted 16 points and Danilo Pinnock 13 to lead Panama over British Virgin Islands 75-61 in day 2 of the Centrobasket Championship at Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The offense by Kennedy Bass and Halstead Chiverton gave BVI a 14-9 lead with 5:40 in the first quarter. Mexico dominates Belize to have a 1-1 record

After falling to Cuba 82-62 on day one, Mexico dominated Belize 85-63 on day two of the 2010 Centrobasket Championship in order to have a 1-1 record. After a slow start, where they lost the first quarter 15-12, the Mexicans recovered led by Jovan Harris and Omar Quintero to finish the first half up 33-32. In the third quarter the Mexicans made a 17-4 run to have a 50-36 lead and finished up 60-44.

Caribbean Champs Jamaica Seek Centro Basketball Title

Team Jamaica, the 2009 Caribbean Champions, is presently in Santo Domingo participating in the 2010 CENTRO Basketball Championships in its quest to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. Sponsored by FLOW, Jamaica will need to finish in one of the top four places to keep its Olympic hopes alive. Other teams participating include Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, Belize, Dominican Republic, United States Virgin Islands (USVI), British Virgin Islands (BVI), Trinidad & Tobago, and Cuba.  ....
