SAN GERMÁN - After winning their first Gold medal in the 2010 Centrobasket Championship for Women played in Mayagüez, now the Puerto Rican women's team will go for their first Gold medal in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games after beating Jamaica 63-44 in the semifinals.
The game was close from the start, where Jamaica dominated inside and played some great defense in the first three quarters. Then in the final quarter Puerto Rico won 28-9 to get a 19 point win.
In the win Jazmine Sepulveda had 15 points while Pamela Rosado and Sandra García netted 13 each.
The Dominican Republic will also play for the Gold after dominating US Virgin Islands 92-66 where Yohanna Morton led them with 18 points.
In the classification round Guatemala defeated Trinidad & Tobago 81-76 and México crushed St. Vincent and the Grenadines 143-31.
