The St. Vincent & the Grenadines Basketball Federation
(SVGBF)is responsible for
their participation in the CBC Championships. The SVGBF was
formally recognized by the International Basketball
Federation (FIBA) in 1984. SVGBF joined the Caribbean
Basketball Confederation in 1984.
SVGBF serves to
promote, develop and control the sport of basketball in St.
Vincent and the Grenadines. To take all steps it may deem
necessary in order to prevent the infringement of its rules
and regulations. Statutes as well as the Regulations of FIBA
and further to prevent the introduction of irregular methods
or practice in the Sport as well as the abuses these
practices may bring. To encourage representation for St.
Vincent and the Grenadines in regional and International
Basketball tournaments.
