National Basketball Federation of Trinidad & Tobago (NBFTT) is responsible for their participation in the CBC Championships. The NBFTT was formally recognized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in 1958. NBFTT joined the Caribbean Basketball Confederation in 1981.

The NBFTT is the governing and controlling body for the sport of basketball in Trinidad and Tobago overseeing the sport at all levels, from 'mini to masters'; from the communities to zonal leagues and national teams.
